The Student-Parents Centric Approach
Storytime Preschool incorporates theme-based learning lessons that relate to day-to-day life. Integrating this into the syllabus helps build confidence and students enjoy role-play and themes based learning for a variety of subjects. For example, during science classes, experiments are a must, while the Math class is held outside the classroom in a garden. After a long week, Friday is usually “Fun & Free”, where students interact and play with classmates, as children feel free to express themselves, the learning experience becomes fun. Also, the school encourages reading and hosts a Book Week, where parents and older students read to the students. It believes that connecting and involving the parents on every step of the journey is imperative for the student’s development and progress. This helps grow a bond and healthy relationship between the students, parents, and the school.
The parents are kept updated with their children’s daily performance, the teachers maintain a “My Day Book” for each child and the school sends out a bi-weekly newsletter about their children’s work and active participants and also gives insights about the upcoming activities. Also, in addition to this, the school holds Parent Teacher’s Days, where the cards are distributed and performances are discussed.
