Kathmandu: Thousands of students in Nepal appearing Secondary Education Examination (SEE) were stunned and confused by seeing a lot of mistakes in English question paper as per the media reports.
Errors in the question paper were from spelling mistakes to incomplete sentences, some of them were answered by student’s guesswork. Few students left the questions unanswered as they could not understand the questions. Officials of the Examination Board stated this blunder was a human error.

Board Chairman, Chandra Mani Paudel said, “All the exam centers were notified about this mishap and were asked to correct the papers once the experts pointed out the errors.” He added, “They are just typos and consequence of human error, they just happened even after taking efforts to avoid the mistakes.”

On the other hand, Teachers told The Kathmandu Post on not being instructed to that extent. A principal of a school urged that they did not receive any message from the Board in the context to this and clarified that they are not allowed to make any changes in the question paper.
